Whom?      
Individuals: I work with children and adults. Beginners, intermediate or advanced students are all welcome. Whether you would like to improve your existing English skills or start from scratch, we can discuss your level and customize the lessons to fit your needs. I work with GMAT university students who are preparing for their exams, PhD students who work to improve their academic English writing skills, legal English students who need it for work.  If you are a business person who needs to perfect his/her English for work reasons, we can find the right solution for you. If you are a student who needs additional practice, then the conversation lessons will be suitable for you.

Companies: I also offer company teaching in the comfort of your office. If you are a company, you might benefit from improving the work skills of your employees by running an on-site English training for them. Business English, phone skills, interview skills or other tailor-made courses offered. If you are a real estate agency or cabin crew agency or other area of customer service, do not hesitate to ask for a course designed specifically for your employees – based on the vocabulary that you use most frequently on a daily basis.

Where?    I usually run my English lessons at my home in Bofferdange, Luxembourg. Where it is possible, we can arrange to run the lessons in Luxembourg. On-site training for companies available, just ask.

When?      Week days, at a mutually convenient time. Typically, I offer 60-minute lessons, or 2 periods of 45 min, depending on your availability.

How much?    I offer very reasonable rates, depending on how many students are in the group (if group sessions) and the area of English (general or specialized).
For individual lessons: starting from 45 Euro per 60-min lesson (general English) on a one-to-one basis.

It is important to practice what you learn in context as this is helping to build the maximum understanding and application of newly acquired knowledge.
That is why I am happy to offer courses that encourage you to apply your existing knowledge while gaining new practical skills with English.

Creative Writing for Children and Teenagers – this course will introduce the basics of building a text, a story (the plot, the characters, developing the relations between the characters and the story). We will look into what the context of the story is; what makes the character convincing; the types of stories (magic, myths, adventures, etc) and their style. The student will have the chance to develop a story of his/her own, incorporate illustrations, create a storyboard.

Visual Mapping at school or work – this course is based on learning how to apply the method of Visual Mapping in order to analyze a text (whether fiction, scientific, academic or business text). This method aims to maximize the comprehension of the text by visualization and mapping of the mental concepts. The outcome is that the student achieves a maximum understanding plus optimum memory skills. Perfect in respect to school, university, business life.

My approach to learning:
I work hard to encourage the children to explore while learning, to build a positive attitude to the subject area, to develop a sound confidence and believe in whatever they are learning, to encourage curiosity to go further. I do not approve of the traditional education approach where a student has to learn how to pass exams more than to learn, understand and develop on the way. I believe that each student has a big potential, which I try to bring out by finding the right motivation. I believe that teaching is a mutual process, not one-way.

I offer translation between English and Bulgarian.

I have worked as a freelance translator for various international  translation agencies since 1998. For the past 7 years, I carried out different medical translations, besides the usual general or business English translation. I have translated a large volume of pharmaceutical texts, food labeling, medical training software and protocols for clinical trials.

I can work as the coordinator of outsourced projects and I can find the right profile of linguistic consultants for your specific project.

I have about 5 years experience of coordinating and managing outsourced translation projects (in the area of medical translation). I have experience selecting and recruiting teams of forward and back translators, linguistic consultants specializing in a technical area, linguistic validation, conducting the interviews, providing feedback on each step of the translation process, including the final check of the translation at the pre-print stage.
