That is why I am happy to offer courses that encourage you to apply your existing knowledge while gaining new practical skills with English.
Creative Writing for Children and Teenagers – this course will introduce the basics of building a text, a story (the plot, the characters, developing the relations between the characters and the story). We will look into what the context of the story is; what makes the character convincing; the types of stories (magic, myths, adventures, etc) and their style. The student will have the chance to develop a story of his/her own, incorporate illustrations, create a storyboard.
Visual Mapping at school or work – this course is based on learning how to apply the method of Visual Mapping in order to analyze a text (whether fiction, scientific, academic or business text). This method aims to maximize the comprehension of the text by visualization and mapping of the mental concepts. The outcome is that the student achieves a maximum understanding plus optimum memory skills. Perfect in respect to school, university, business life.
My approach to learning:
I work hard to encourage the children to explore while learning, to build a positive attitude to the subject area, to develop a sound confidence and believe in whatever they are learning, to encourage curiosity to go further. I do not approve of the traditional education approach where a student has to learn how to pass exams more than to learn, understand and develop on the way. I believe that each student has a big potential, which I try to bring out by finding the right motivation. I believe that teaching is a mutual process, not one-way.
